Why cognitive behavioural therapy?

Empower yourself to think your way through emotional and behavioural problems.

We all recognise that thoughts affect the way we think, feel and behave. Yet few of us take the next step and actively use our thoughts to improve and overcome problematic emotions and behaviours.

Cognitive behavioural therapy harnesses the massive power of your mind to do this. Together, we can change your negative behaviours for the better. Using this logical process, we can gradually work our way through the problem that felt insurmountable.

Your problems can be beaten

Emotional and behavioural problems can feel permanent, unchangeable and overwhelming, like something you are burdened with forever, rather than something you can overcome.

My cognitive behavioural therapy practice aims to change that. Together, we can break down these overwhelming problems into manageable challenges that can be overcome.

Your mind is made up of thought processes that you can consciously change. Every time you change one, even temporarily, it chips away at the big problems that affect you from the inside. Enough chips, and the problem will eventually crumble, leaving happiness and wellbeing in its place.

How do I know if I need cognitive behavioural therapy

If you are having problems with irrational and seemingly uncontrollable emotions or behaviour, then CBT therapy could be a great way to address them.

If you are aware that these emotions don’t make sense and shouldn’t be happening, then CBT can give you the tools to stop them in their tracks. Anxiety attacks and insomnia are ideal examples of this: You know you should relax, or go to sleep, but you can’t because of things seemingly beyond your control in your head.

Those things can be controlled, and we will control them together.

With the guidance of an expert, your complex problem becomes a sequence of simple solutions that bring your mind under control.
